Indore. Students doing engineering in the beautiful city of Indore, Madhya Pradesh have got the World Book of Records. This record is not related to any education and innovation but to art. Yes, you will be surprised to know that the engineers of SGSITS College, Indore have done wonders.
Aishwarya Chaubey of Reflection Club says that the students doing engineering through the club showcase their skills from time to time. In which all types of photography and painting are done. Students who want to keep their hobby alive along with their studies take part in it. Not only this, these students also get rewards from time to time. Its members also increase every year and this club was established in 2011. After which we have got 3 records till now. First Limca Book of Records, India Book of Records and World Book of Records.
Painting Marathon: A New Dimension
Aishwarya told that last year “Streetscape: The Tint Avenue” A 30-hour continuous painting marathon took place on the theme, in which roadblocks covering more than 2800 square feet area of the institute were painted by 350 participants using creative ideas. In which we made every kind of painting. Somewhere there was the portrait of APJ Abdul Kalam and somewhere there was innovation and landscape, nature and wildlife.
Budget and Preparation
Abbas Hujainwala tells that our budget for making the world record of this painting marathon was around Rs 3 lakh, which we sponsored from All Over India. Not only this, he painted nonstop the whole day and night. You can say that it took 30 hours to make about 3 thousand square feet paintings in a budget of Rs 3 lakh.
