World Record for Longest Beard: Sarwan Singh, a Canadian citizen of Indian origin, is in discussion all over the world these days for a special reason. The reason is his beard. Some people from Sweden and Canada had also given entries in the race for the Guinness World Record, but Sarwan went ahead. In the year 2008, his beard was measured at 2.33 meters i.e. 7 feet 8 inches. But in 2010 Rome’s Lo Sho Dei challenged it, then it had to be measured. Then it was 2.362 meters i.e. 7 feet 9 inches. On 15 October 2022, his beard became 2.54 meters. After 12 years, Sarwan’s beard turned white but it also became longer than before. You would be surprised to know that Sarwan never cut his beard after the age of 17. He says it is a gift from God. Why cut it? Even in the Sikh community, cutting the beard is considered wrong.
