So far, it has received more than 5 thousand likes and 3600 comments. Australia’s Queensland Health Department has been widely praised for its creative and humorous campaign addressing a potentially awkward issue: what to do when you need to poop at work.
Protest started in Queensland’s Health Department
A strange issue is being raised in the Health Department of Queensland, Australia. In this protest, it is being said that a dangerous protest is taking place in Australia regarding going potty in the workplace. The campaign started on social media has received enthusiasm and praise from users, with many appreciating its light-hearted approach to a serious health topic. According to a report in ‘The Independent’, one of the most striking elements was an Instagram video with the message that it is okay to poop at work, with colorful images of dolphins, rainbows and unicorns, set to the tune of Nick Sanders’ song Symphony.

So many likes on social media post
The post received over 25,000 likes and thousands of comments, reflecting the popularity of the campaign. On Facebook, a more straightforward post asking followers to “discuss” toileting at work sparked a lively discussion, garnering over 5,000 likes and over 3,600 comments.
Although the campaign is meant to be humorous, it does send out an important health message. The department warns that ignoring your need to poop can lead to serious health problems, such as hemorrhoids and stool retention. A post read: “Many people find it difficult to poop in public toilets. But we’re here to tell you that it’s perfectly fine to go number two at work.”
The campaign also discusses the condition of parkopresis, sometimes called ‘poo paranoia’. People suffering from this condition may experience anxiety, increased heart rate or nausea due to fear of being criticised by others when using a public toilet.
