Cancer Cause : Cancer is a disease that can occur in any part of the body. There can be many reasons for this, but recently a new research has revealed that the cause of cancer lies inside the body itself. Scientists at Flinders University in Australia found that the cause of cancer is changes in the DNA inside the cells.

What does research say about cancer?
According to Professor Simon Conn, who is leading the research team, this is the first time that a genetic molecule found in many people changes DNA in a way that can trigger cancer from within our own cells.
If this really happens then this research can be helpful in the treatment of cancer. To understand this research in depth, the researchers compared the blood samples at birth of those children who later developed leukemia and such children who later remained healthy. It was found that children who had leukemia had higher levels of a particular circular RNA. This suggests that the amount of these circular RNAs in cells may play an important role in whether certain genes develop cancer-causing mutations.
Role of circular RNA in cancer
Research has found that circular RNA binds to DNA at specific points in cells, causing DNA breaks, and while cells can normally repair DNA breaks, this repair is often not complete. Even small mistakes during repair can cause mutations. When circular RNAs are involved, they can have even further effects. If DNA from two different sites fuse incorrectly, it can lead to gene fusion that makes a normal cell vulnerable to cancer.

What do researchers say?
Dr. Vanessa Conn, who is part of this study team, says that when many circular RNAs work together, they can cause DNA breakage at many places. Due to which a process called chromosomal translocation can occur, which is very dangerous. In this the parts of the chromosomes become one. Chromosomal translocations are well known in cancer research because they often create oncogenes—genes that can transform normal cells into cancer cells. Circular RNA can play an important role in cancer ranging from leukemia to cancer.
