Monkeypox and Chickenpox Rashes
The rash associated with monkeypox occurs within one to three days of fever, while the rash of chickenpox appears 1-2 days after the fever. The rash of monkeypox starts on the face and spreads to many parts of the body including the palms and soles. They first appear as papules and fluid-filled pustules, then form scabs and fall off. Chickenpox rashes are itchy. They are like blisters, which start on the back and face and spread to the rest of the body. However, the rash does not appear on the palms and soles.
