health tips effects of marijuana on body organs in hindi

Marijuana Side Effects: How long and where the effect of marijuana will be on a person’s body depends on many things. How strong the marijuana is, how many times it is smoked, all these things have an impact.

Psychopharmacologist Lane MacKregor of the University of Sydney, Australia, said that after smoking marijuana, the chemical tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is present in the body for several weeks, but the weakness caused by it, that is, the body being unable to work, is only for a short time. It affects many parts of the body. The time of effect is different for everyone.

How long does the effect of marijuana last on which part of the body

Generally, the effect of THC lasts for 90 days in hair, 30 days in urine, 24 hours in saliva and 12 hours in blood. However, this depends on how many times marijuana has been smoked.

How the body processes marijuana

The chemical THC in marijuana reaches many tissues and organs of the body. These include the brain, heart, liver and fat. The liver metabolizes it into 11-hydroxy-THC and carboxy-THC (metabolites). About 85% of which is excreted through waste products and the rest is stored in the body. Over time, the THC stored in the body’s tissues is released back into the blood circulation, where it is metabolized by the liver.

How cannabis affects the body

THC and CBD chemicals are found in marijuana. Both have different functions. THC increases intoxication and CBD reduces the effect of THC. CBD reduces anxiety but at that time it causes internal disturbance to the person. When the amount of THC in marijuana is more than CBD and someone smokes marijuana at the same time, then THC reaches the brain with the blood and starts causing problems. Due to this, the neurons of the brain go out of control.

Disadvantages of smoking marijuana

1. According to the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine report, smoking marijuana can cause bipolar disorder, which can increase depression and mental problems.

2. People who smoke marijuana have a higher risk of cancer. Some research has shown that it increases the risk of testicular cancer. However, more research is needed on this.

3. Regularly smoking marijuana can increase the risk of chronic cough. This affects lung function and increases the risk of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or asthma.
