Manish Kumar/Katihar: Momos, available as fast food, is now becoming the first choice of people in Bihar. Apart from hot steamed momos, people eat veg momos, paneer momos and chicken momos with great enthusiasm. On the other hand, if you get to drink hot soup with momos, then its pleasure is something else. One such stall is at Mirchai Bari Chowk in Katihar district of Bihar, where this graduate youth serves free soup to the customers along with momos. This is the reason why their shop gets crowded with customers in the evening.
Graduate youth Rahul Kumar told that he has been running the stall at Mirchaibadi Chowk for about 10 years. He usually makes veg momos and chicken momos and also makes paneer momos during festivals. Apart from this, soup prepared from various types of vegetables and spices is also given to the customers for free along with momos, which the customers like very much. He told that veg momos are given to customers at Rs 30 per plate. Whereas chicken momos are served to customers for Rs 50 per plate. Chilli chutney and mayonnaise are given along with 8 pieces of momos in a plate. The customers who came to taste momos at this shop told that they often come to Rahul’s place here and eat momos. The soup served with momos is also very delicious.
Shopping lasts for three hours
Rahul told that in the evening, a crowd of youth gathers at the shop. This momos shop is open from 6 pm to 9 pm. Rahul told that during the three-hour shopping period, more than 300 customers come every day to eat momos. Chicken momos are the biggest seller during cold season. The soup served with momos attracts customers. If you also like to eat momos, then you can come to Rahul’s shop located at Mirchaibadi Chowk in Katihar and eat them.
