Steel Ganj Talab is the main market of Bahraich city where goods worth lakhs are sold off in a few hours every day. In this market, women’s sarees, suits, shoes, etc. are available at reasonable prices. This is the reason why it seems like a fair is being held here every day. If the elders are to be believed, this market started before 1984. Earlier, some people used to occupy this place with their kiosks, due to which Mohan Sethi, who was the DM of Bahraich in those days, ordered to vacate these kiosks on the instructions of the government.
