A high voltage drama of a young man continued for 40 minutes in Mau district on Wednesday. The young man, upset with his family members, climbed an electric pole situated at some distance. People kept telling him to come down, but he did not listen.

A high voltage drama went on for about 40 minutes on Wednesday afternoon near Gokulpura in Ranipur police station area of Mau district. A young man from the village climbed an electricity pole located at some distance from his house. As soon as this was known, the villagers immediately cut off the power supply. For a long time people kept pleading the young man to come down from the pole, but he did not listen to anyone. After this, the villagers brought him down using a ladder.
The video of this act of the youth went viral on social media. The villagers told that Rakesh Chauhan, a resident of the village, got angry over something on Wednesday and had an argument with his family members. After which he left the house threateningly. Troubled by the youth’s nuisance, the family members also asked him to leave.
He reached some distance from his house and climbed the cement electric pole installed there. The villagers informed the family members of the youth about this. Slowly a crowd of people gathered there. People kept asking the youth to come down from the pole. Meanwhile, someone informed the Electricity Corporation and got the power supply cut off. The youth climbed the electric pole and kept doing drama for about 40 minutes. Then some youths of the village climbed the pole using a ladder and brought him down. After some time, the police also reached the spot. On seeing the police, the youth jumped into the field and ran away.
