Madhya Pradesh’s city Indore has consistently been ranked as the cleanest city in the country. This time Indore has achieved this position for the seventh time. Indore has got 187 marks among cities with population of more than 10 lakh in the Central Control Board’s Clean Air Survey 2023. Why does Delhi lag behind every time?
The country’s capital Delhi lags behind in this survey every time due to the never-ending pollution in Delhi. Garbage is still thrown openly on the streets in the capital Delhi. At the same time, increasing pollution in the city prevents Delhi from coming forward in this list every time.
How is the survey conducted?
Cleanliness certificate is given to any city on the basis of cleanliness of that city. According to various reports, cleanliness survey takes into account many parameters like linear resource management, cleanliness of public places, cleanliness of houses, cleanliness of public toilets, solid waste management, sewage management, water management, air quality, community participation. . On the basis of these parameters, cities are given marks from 0 to 100. The city with higher numbers is given a certificate of cleanliness. Indore always gets higher marks in all these. In this survey, 446 cities across the country are surveyed, in which Delhi has been ranked 90th among all municipal bodies.
