This claim has been made in a report published in ‘European Journal of Pediatrics’ (EJP).
It was said in the research that researchers from the outpatient department affiliated with the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH) of ‘Jeer Integrated Medical Services’ (JIMS) Hospital of Telangana conducted a special kind of research. He conducted this research on 108 children aged between birth to 24 months i.e. 2 years. In this research, he has included his health condition in the report. Various acute illnesses such as fever, diarrhea and respiratory tract infections were treated either homeopathically or conventionally.
Homeopathic remedies and medicines are combined with conventional medical treatment
Conventional medical treatment was added to the homeopathic group when clinically indicated. Researchers found that participants in the homeopathic group experienced significantly fewer sick days over 24 months than those in the conventional group. After adjustment, the number of sick days in the homeopathic group was one-third that of the conventional group. The research said that using homeopathy as the mainstay of treatment reduced the incidence of respiratory illness in children over a 24-month follow-up period. Decreased.
According to the research, no significant adverse reactions or deaths were observed in any group. Antibiotics were required for 14 illness episodes in children in the homeopathic group. Whereas in the traditional group, 141 were required. Researchers said the study shows that homeopathy can reduce antibiotic use and even improve medical outcomes compared with conventional medical support.
She further said that integrating homeopathic treatment with routine conventional infant and child healthcare could provide a safe, effective and affordable alternative to antibiotics.
