A major accident was witnessed while a tank was crossing the Shyok river flowing in the Ladakh region of India. While returning from military training on the night of 28 June, an army tank was crossing the Shyok river flowing near Saser Brangsa in eastern Ladakh when suddenly the water level of the river increased, due to which the army tank got stuck in the water.
The rescue team had reached the accident site but due to the sudden rise in water level, the rescue operation was not successful and the tank crew was swept away in the river. Due to which they died. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has expressed regret over this accident. In such a situation, let us know where this river flows from and how its water level suddenly increased.
