Major telecom companies in Pakistan such as Jazz, Telenor, Zong, and Ufone provide mobile services. The monthly recharge plans of these companies include data, calling minutes and SMS.
Jazz’s monthly package of 30GB data, 3000 on-net minutes, and 3000 SMS is available for PKR 800-1200. Telenor’s monthly package with 25GB data and unlimited on-net calls is priced at PKR 600-1000.
Zong’s monthly plan with 30GB data and 500-1000 minutes is priced at PKR 700-1200. Ufone’s balanced package of data and calling is available for 500-900 Pakistani rupees.
Companies like Reliance Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone-Idea are leaders in mobile services in India. Jio’s plan of 2GB data per day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day for 28 days is available for Rs 299.
Airtel’s plan of 1.5GB data per day and unlimited calls is available for Rs 319. Vodafone-Idea (Vi) plan with 2GB data per day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day is priced at Rs 299.
If we compare the two countries, mobile services in India are cheaper than Pakistan. The average recharge of a month in Pakistan is 800-1200 Pakistani rupees (about 260-390 Indian rupees).
At the same time, in India, better data and calling facilities are available for Rs 299-350. In India, companies like Jio have made services affordable by bringing data revolution. At the same time, the prices of mobile services in Pakistan are a bit high, especially the data packages are expensive.
