Many schemes are being run by the Central Government for farmers. One of those schemes is Pradhan Mantri Kisan Energy Security and Utthan Maha Abhiyan. Under this scheme, subsidy on solar pumps is being provided to the farmers. In which 30% is being given by the Central Government and the rest is the responsibility of the State Governments. Different rules have been set for this in different states. To avail the benefits of this scheme, farmers will have to apply online.

Lakhs will be saved

75 percent subsidy is being given to the farmers by the state governments for solar pumps. Due to which farmers are benefiting a lot. Farmers are being given solar pumps up to 3 HP and 10 HP for irrigation. After 75 percent subsidy on these solar pumps, the remaining expenses will have to be paid which also includes GST. If a farmer is installing a 5 HP soak pump. Whose market price is Rs 4,53,299. So in this the farmer can save Rs 3,39,224. That means this pump will be available for only Rs 1,14,075.
