Ingredients for making tomato fritters
Tomato – 4-5
Gram flour – 1 bowl
Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
Baking soda – 1 pinch
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Oil – for frying
salt – as per taste
Tomato Pakora Recipe
Wash most of the tomatoes with clean water to make flavourful tomato pakoras. After this wipe the tomatoes with cotton cloth and then cut them into thick slices. Now put the tomato slices in a bowl and sprinkle red chili powder, chaat masala and a little garam masala over them. After this cover the tomatoes and keep them aside. Now take a deep bottom vessel and put gram flour in it. After this add garam masala, turmeric, red chili powder and salt as per taste to the gram flour and mix.
Now add water little by little to the gram flour and prepare the batter. Keep in mind that the solution should not be diluted too much. Now put oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. While the oil is heating, put tomato slices in gram flour batter and wrap them well with gram flour. When the oil becomes hot, wrap the tomato slices one by one in gram flour and put them in the pan.

Add gram flour pakoras according to the capacity of the pan and deep fry them for a minute or two. After a while, turn the pakoras over and cook from the other side as well. Deep fry the tomato pakoras until both the sides become golden and crisp. After this, take out the pakoras in a plate. Similarly fry all the tomato pakoras. Tasty tomato pakoras are ready for breakfast. Serve them with green chutney.
