Circle to Search: There has been a lot of discussion about Artificial Intelligence i.e. AI technology in the last few months all over the world including India. Google is also one of those companies. Earlier this year, Google introduced an AI feature called Circle to Search.
What is the Circle to Search feature?
Circle to Search is a feature that uses AI technology to search any object visible on the phone by just drawing a circle and provides all the information about it. For example, if there is a picture in your phone in which you like a bag very much, then if you circle only that bag present in that picture, then you will get all the information including company, brand, price of that bag.
This AI feature of Google is part of Samsung’s Galaxy AI. Samsung had launched the Samsung Galaxy A24 series earlier this year, in which this feature was included. After that, this feature has also been included in other flagship phone series of Samsung. Apart from this, Circle to Search feature is also available in Google’s Pixel 8 series phones.
Overall, till now only Android smartphone users are able to take advantage of this AI feature, but people using iOS devices i.e. iPhone, iPad have not yet been able to get the facility of Circle to Search or any such AI feature. However, work is going on for this.
How to use circle to search feature in iPhone?
A new method has emerged for iOS users, through which they can get the facility of features like Circle to Search. However, this is not the same feature you are thinking of like Circle to Search. Let us tell you about it.
If you have the Google app on your iPhone, you can create an iOS shortcut that will take a screenshot of your display and then search for it using Google Lens’ visual search features. Google Lens’ visual search will search for anything in the screenshot of your phone screen. This feature also works like Circle to Search. Although, there is a lot of difference between Google Lens and Circle to Search, but if you want to use a feature like Circle to Search in your iPhone, then for now you can make do with this solution.
However, Apple is working very fast to bring AI technology into its iPhone and iOS operating systems. A few months ago, Tim Cook had said in his interview that he was lagging behind other companies in the matter of AI. He said that Apple’s AI feature will come late but will come well.
