Pashmina Roshan Bollywood Debut: Many films are going to be released in the month of June. Another film in this series is Ishq Vishk Rebound, which is going to be released. Ishq Vishk Rebound is the reboot of Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao’s 2003 film Ishq Vishk. Now producer Ramesh Taurani is once again bringing a young love story. Rajesh Roshan’s daughter and Hrithik Roshan’s cousin Pashmina Roshan is going to debut in this film. But before her debut, the issue of nepotism is being raised. It is being said that Pashmina got this film because of her surname. Now the makers have clarified on this.
“I didn’t know who he was beforehand”
While talking to Forbes magazine, Ishq Vishk Rebound producer Ramesh Taurani said about Pashmina Roshan, ‘We did not know who she was. Pashmina was one of the 15 girls we had selected. We did not know who she was at first. When we started signing her, we came to know that she was Roshan. I have worked with her father Rajesh Roshan, but he never called me and talked about her’. Ramesh Taurani further said, ‘Talent matters the most in the industry, whether someone is from a famous family or not’.
Talent is important in this industry
Ramesh Taurani further says, ‘Neither the relationship with Hrithik nor anything else, only merit matters in the industry, whether you are an outsider or a nepo kid. If you look from the 80s till now, there are some actors who have their entire family in the industry, but they did not succeed. With the original Ishq Vishq we launched Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasurywala. Shahid is a superstar today, after this film Shenaz also got a flood of offers. We are keen to do more films with these kids.
Ramesh Taurani was looking for a new face
Ramesh further said that ‘We wanted new faces for this film. Rohit Saraf has become famous through many films, but this film will launch him as a lead actor. We did five rounds of auditions and then selected him’. Now with the release of Ishq Vishk Rebound, all eyes are on Pashmina Roshan.
