Google Maps is a very popular and trusted map service all over the world, many people use it to go to a new route or place. But Google Maps sometimes takes people to the wrong route and it did so again and this time this case has come to light from Kerala.
Some people from Hyderabad were in Kuruppantara in South Kerala and were following the route shown by Google Maps. These people got into trouble because of following the route shown by Google Maps. This happened late Friday night. 4 people were going towards Alappuzha in their car. The roads on which they were driving were flooded due to heavy rains and they did not know much about this area.
Police and local people saved his life
Because of this, these people were following the route shown by Google Maps. Meanwhile, their car fell into the river. All the 4 people in the car were rescued by the police with the help of local people. In this accident, their car drowned in the river but efforts are being made to take it out. Such an accident has happened before as well, in October last year, two doctors were driving their car on the route shown by Google Maps, and their car fell into the river and both the doctors lost their lives in that accident.
In view of such cases, Kerala Police has issued a warning that if you are using technology during the monsoon season, then be cautious, if you use Google Maps to travel on unknown routes, then you need to be very careful and alert.
