Then the Indian Air Force carried out this daring operation to safely evacuate Indians trapped in violence-hit Sudan. Under this operation, the Air Force’s C-130J aircraft landed on a small airstrip in Wadi Sayyidna, about 40 km north of Sudan’s capital Khartoum, without any navigational aid or landing light and rescued 121 people from there.
