On Thursday (November 21), the International Criminal Court has issued an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his former Defense Minister Yoav Galant along with a Hamas military commander. The ICC issued a warrant accusing Netanyahu and others of war, crime and crimes against humanity in Gaza 13 months ago.

The ICC issued the warrant against Netanyahu when he was to appear in court in the next two weeks in a corruption case. In which if found guilty, his political career may also end. “Israelis become very angry when they feel the whole world has turned against them,” said Yonatan Freeman, an international relations expert at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. “They rally around their leader, then No matter how much he is criticized.” He further said, “Therefore, those who were hoping that the ICC decision would end Netanyahu’s government will see the opposite result.”
