ICC champions trophy 2025: For the upcoming matches of ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Punjab Police has announced a detailed security arrangements in Lahore and Rawalpindi. During this tournament, more than 12,000 police officers and employees will be deployed to provide complete security to the players, officials and cricket fans.
According to a Punjab Police spokesman, a detailed plan has been prepared to ensure security during the matches in Lahore and Rawalpindi. Three matches will be played in Lahore on 22, 26 February and March 5, while three matches will be held in Rawalpindi on 24, 25 and 27 February. More than 8,000 officers and employees will be deployed in Lahore, including 12 senior officers, 39 DSPs, 86 inspectors and 700 personnel. At the same time, more than 5,000 officers and employees in Rawalpindi will ensure security.
Major things of security plan
A total of 12,000+ policemen have been deployed in every stadim present across the country for the upcoming matches of ICC Champions Trophy 2025. It has 18 senior officers, 54 DSPs and 135 inspectors participation. Apart from this, 200+ women officials including women policemen will focus on tight security around the players’ residence and stadium during the matches.
IG Punjab’s statement on security and traffic system
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that along with national and foreign players, complete security will be provided to cricket fans. He also said that security will be strict around the players’ housing, stadiums and roads and special plans have been made to run the traffic smoothly.

For the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Punjab Police has finalized the security system scheme. Under this scheme, players and spectators in Lahore and Rawalpindi will get an opportunity to enjoy cricket in a safe environment. The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will begin on February 19 with a inaugural match between Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi. The most awaited match will be between Pakistan and India in Dubai on 23 February, which is considered to be the most high-voltage match of the tournament.
