Idea Of India Summit 2024: Madhur Bhandarkar, Vipul Shah and Leena Yadav came together for a session at ABP Network’s annual summit ‘Idea of India’. Where these three talked about whether films are dividing or uniting us? Madhur Bhandarkar and Vipul Shah also expressed their opinion regarding Ram temple. He told how celebs express their opinions on social media and because of which they are judged.
Madhur Bhandarkar said- I made films like Chandni Bar, Traffic Signal. I showed poverty a lot. I have a very secular personality. I have friendship with people of every religion. Suddenly in 2014 I openly asked Mr. Narendra Modi Supported. Suddenly I was sidelined overnight. I was abused. When I used to make films, I used to enjoy it. I go to Haji Ali, Ajmer Sharif and everywhere. I am a proud Hindu..but you thought that if I supported it then it became communal.
Madhur Bhandarkar said on visiting Ram temple
Madhur further said – What is communal in Ram temple? When I attended the Iftar party, no one spoke. if you Ram Mandir If you go in, you have faith in the country, so you should not look at it from that perspective. Those who were invited went. I went to the inauguration of the Dubai Temple. Now people have become selective. You have to see how everyone’s point of view in the industry is different. Those who do not suit them you will call them devotees.
Why don’t I have the right to support any political party?
In this session, Vipul Shah said – If I go somewhere for my religion then I am communal. What a ridiculous theory this is. This is a change that an environment was created where it was a shame to be called a Hindu. But now such an environment has been created that it has become cool to say Hindu. An attempt is being made to limit it to hyper-Hinduism. If someone else has the right to support any political party then why don’t I have the right?
