Similarly, if a dog sees a cat, it runs so fast that it does not leave the cat. If the cat gets a chance, it also does not lag behind in teaching a lesson to the dog. But a unique sight is being seen in Kaithwada Jhande Wala Devi Mandir, 20 km away from Meerut. Here, not the fight between the dog and the cat but their mischievous acts have become the topic of discussion.

The Mahant of the temple, Kardam Muni Maharaj, tells that she has a pet dog named Chetak. He is very good friends with a wild cat named Sumo. Both of them have been seen doing such mischievous acts in the temple premises for the last several years. Their friendship is a topic of discussion not only in the village but also in the surrounding area. Many people come to the temple to see them. Ever since these two have become friends, if they do not see each other, they become restless. She tells that when the cat goes out for a walk in the forest and does not come to the temple premises for a long time, Chetak keeps roaming around. As soon as Sumo returns, he is seen asking her something or the other in his language.

Kardam Muni Maharaj says that even though there are talks of enmity between dog and cat, both of them are very good friends. They never harm each other. She also says that no matter how much they fight, but with the blessings of Mother Bhagwati, you will see them talking about love in this temple premises.
