If There Is A Fight In The Train Then Whom To Complain To RPF Is The Wrong Answer

While traveling in a train, you must have seen many times that a fight takes place between two people. Sometimes it even comes to the point of physical violence. Now the question arises that if there is a fight in your train or someone misbehaves with you in the train, then where can you go and complain about it. Many times we feel that if something happens in the train, we can complain to RPF, but is RPF the right place for this? Let us give you complete information related to this.

What does RPF do?

RPF means Railway Protection Force. Its job is to protect the property of Indian Railways. Apart from this, matters like stopping illegal occupation of railway property and investigating matters related to it come under RPF. Apart from this, Railway Protection Force i.e. RPF does the work of stopping people from illegally entering the compartments designated for women, stopping people from climbing on the railway roof, doing unauthorized vending, brokering or dealing with such matters.

Then how to report a fight

If you have a fight with someone in the train, you should immediately inform the GRP. In this matter, all authority rests with GRP i.e. Government Railway Police. Actually, the job of GRP is to ensure security in the railway area. Apart from this, GRP also does the work of patrolling the railway area. Let us tell you, only GRP has the right to make any arrest in the railway area.

But if the crime is serious then the GRP hands over the case to the local police. Therefore, next time if you have a fight with someone, instead of going to RPF, go to GRP.
