As the evening approaches, people start gathering at the kebab shop. These Shahi Kebabs are prepared by heating them in a furnace with very pure oil.
Lukman, who runs the famous Shahi Kebab Corner shop near Shabbar Ki Haveli at Jatavpuri intersection in Firozabad, told Local 18 that he has been making and selling kebabs for the last four years. He brings fresh meat daily and prepares kebabs from it. Raw coal is brought to their place and put in the furnace and then kebabs are prepared on skewers and cooked by placing them on the coals. To prepare these kebabs, pure oil and self-prepared spices are mixed. Then after that it is kept on coals to cook properly. He also provides green chutney along with the kebab. With which people enjoy eating Shahi Kebab in a different way.
People from as far as Mumbai come to eat kebabs.
The shopkeeper told that the Shahi Kebab of his place is so famous that apart from Firozabad, people from Agra and Mumbai come to eat it. The price of these kebabs starts from Rs 15 per piece and is sold up to Rs 30 per piece. There are two pieces of kebab in one seekh. There is a lot of crowd at the shop in the evening.
