Banka. Who does not like curd, paneer, ghee and peda made from milk? Everyone likes to eat this stuff and people use it in different ways at different times. Although you will find peda, curd and paneer at many places in Banka, but this shop near Katoria Road Petrol Pump of Banka city headquarters is known for its excellent taste and hygiene.

This shop is being operated since 1987, due to which most of the people of Banka buy paneer, curd and ghee along with peda from here. Dinesh Yadav, a resident of Meharpur village of Banka headquarters, said that this shop is being operated in Banka since 1987. This shop is famous for its taste, the milk products made here are not only from Banka but people from far away places buy from here by giving special orders.

How did the idea come about
Shopkeeper Dinesh Yadav says that we belong to the Yaduvanshi community due to which cattle rearing was done on a large scale in our homes since the time of our ancestors and this shop was run by our father. At that time, we used to have milk from our own cattle and we used to make curd, peda, ghee and cheese from the same milk and give it to the people of Banka.

This shop is being run by me for the last 25 years but with the changing times, now I do not have my own cattle but I buy pure milk from cattle farms in various blocks and make Peda, curd, milk and ghee at my shop. Along with purity, these ingredients are available to you 24 hours a day.

2 quintals are consumed daily
Dinesh Yadav says that more than two quintals of milk is consumed daily in our shop. Pure peda, curd and ghee are made by purchasing milk from local cattle rearers. Let us tell you that more than two quintals of milk is consumed daily in our shop. Curd is sold in our shop at Rs. 120 per kg, peda at Rs. 450, paneer at Rs. 350 and ghee at Rs. 650 per kg.

If we talk about Peda, its making starts at 3:00 PM and the Peda gets finished by 9:00 PM. People usually reach his shop after 6:00 PM to buy Peda and by 9:00 PM, the Peda at his shop gets almost finished. More than 2000 Pedas are bought daily.
