But in Jodhpur’s Umaid Chowk, the monkey died due to electric current, and the locality performed its last rites with full rituals. According to the information received, the monkey died due to electric shock in Umaid Chowk late evening. First he got caught in the wires of the pole and fell straight down from the pole. The seriously injured monkey died.
Monkey is the symbol of Bajrangbali
In fact, in Sanatan Dharma, the monkey is considered to be the form of Bajrangbali and due to this, the residents of the locality performed the last rites of the monkey as per the rituals, showing their faith. Before the funeral, religious chants were sung and the monkey was placed on a flower-decorated bier. The local residents decorated the monkey’s bier with full Hindu customs and took out the funeral procession. At the same time, a crowd gathered here to see the funeral procession of the monkey; whoever saw the monkey had tears in his eyes.

People attending the monkey’s funeral procession paid tribute
A resident of the locality told Local 18 that this is the army of Lord Ram, due to which monkeys are always seen roaming here. People also give food and drinks to monkeys. He said that everyone should respect wild animals. On the occasion of the monkey’s funeral, all the residents of the locality were present near Umesh Chowk to pay tribute to the deceased soul.
