warm weather forecast
It is often seen that due to fluctuations in temperature, the quality of the crop is affected the most. As happened with Kharif crops this year. Paddy could not be sown due to delay in the first monsoon, there was a problem in irrigation when there was no rain in between. Finally the withdrawal of monsoon ruined the paddy crop. This year also similar weather conditions are expected in winter.

In the forecast till February released on Thursday, the IMD has said that this year North India will get some relief from the severe cold. Normal winters are fine for agriculture, but if there is excessive growth in temperature, there may be trouble for the production of rabi crops. Especially for wheat crop, as it is insensitive to high temperature at certain stages after sowing.

watch out for unusual changes
Talking to the media regarding the weather forecast in this winter season, the Director General of IMD told that due to the large-scale changes in the weather, the minimum and maximum temperature in North West India is expected to remain normal or above. He told that there will be less clouds in the sky.

Due to less than average rainfall in this winter, the temperature will be slightly higher than normal. Especially the day temperature will be high i.e. it will be somewhat hot. Its direct effect can be on wheat and mustard of Rabi season, but it completely depends on the condition of the crop, so nothing can be said from now.

There was a loss last year as well
For information, let us tell you that even last year, at the time of wheat harvesting, there was a sudden rise in temperature. Wheat production was affected due to sudden rise in temperature. It has also been revealed in many researches that due to lack of water and increasing heat, there has been a decline in wheat production.

Last year also, there were no significant trends regarding the production of wheat from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Wheat production had fallen by 1 to 8 percent in these states. This is the reason that in the Rabi season 2021-22, the total wheat production was limited to 106.84 million tonnes with a decline of 3 percent.
