Businessman dies in police custody, police assaults his family

The case of death of businessman Mohit Kumar Pandey, resident of Nai Basti Jainabad, in police custody in the capital Lucknow again gained momentum late night. Angry family members protested by blocking the road outside Lohia Institute on Saturday afternoon. After pushing and shoving, the police took the family members inside the hospital premises.
During this, there was an argument with the female policemen. The family remained adamant on the demand of calling Inspector Chinhat. However, considering the seriousness of the matter, the inspector was not brought in front of the family. The police somehow pacified him. Late night, on the basis of mother’s complaint, a case of murder was registered against many people including the inspector.
