Ramprasad, who has been making Ghevar for almost 40 years, says that there is a business of Ghevar worth Rs 3 crore in Jaipur on Rakhi and Teej.
Demand not only in cities but also in villages
There is a lot of demand for Ghevar on Hariyali Teej not only in the cities but also in the villages. Small traders from Jaipur take Ghevar to small shops in the village. When we inquired at the shop of Ghevar Bhandar at Sanganer Gate in Chardiwari, they told that small traders of Ghevar take the faded Ghevar from Jaipur to the small shops of the village and take it to the village and sell it mixed with sugar syrup.

The price of ghevar in Jaipur varies according to the type of ghevar. In these, from 500 rupees to 1200 rupees, from mini ghevar to paneer ghevar is sold.
