Sirohi: Sirohi district of Rajasthan is known as Devbhoomi. There are many ancient temples here which are full of mystery. Today we are going to tell you about a temple about which it is believed that the coconut kept in front of the Shivling breaks on its own. Call it the belief of the devotees or something else, but this belief definitely draws the devotees here at least once.
The ancient Chatak Mahadev temple is built in the lap of nature in Kui Sangna of Aburoad tehsil of Sirohi district. To reach the temple, one has to walk about 1-1.5 km on a footpath from the road of Kui village. You can reach this temple by climbing a hill near a waterfall here. This is the only way to reach this temple. In such a situation, the elderly and the disabled cannot come here. There is a pond in front of the temple, the water of which never ends whether it is summer or winter. An ancient Shiva statue is built outside the main temple.
Coconuts crack on their own
Devotee Jitendra Parihar, who has been visiting the temple for many years, said that the temple is more than a thousand years old. A waterfall flows right in front of the temple. The water in the pond here never dries up. The coconut kept in the temple cracks on its own. This is why the name of this temple became Chatak Mahadev. A fair is organized here on the day of Mahashivratri. A large number of devotees come from far and wide and perform bhajan kirtan here.
