Girl Child Birth Scheme: Many types of schemes are being run across the country for daughters, in which various types of help are provided to their parents. There is a provision of financial assistance from the government for the education of daughters till their marriage. In many states of the country, after the birth of a daughter, the government runs many schemes, under which money is deposited in the account of the daughter or the parents. In one state of the country, this amount is available up to Rs 2 lakh. However, some conditions have been kept for this.
The announcement was made in Himachal
In fact, it was announced by the then Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, that an incentive amount of Rs 2 lakh would be given to every daughter born in Himachal. The family having one daughter will be given an assistance of Rs 2 lakh and the family having two daughters will be given an assistance of Rs 1 lakh. Earlier, financial assistance of Rs 35 thousand was given on the birth of a girl child in the state. The government said that this decision was taken to reduce the cases of female foeticide.
However, this amount of Rs 2 lakh given by the government is not given in lump sum. Separate rules have been made for this. This money is released at different times from the birth of the child till her education. That is, money is given as per the need, so that there is no deficiency of any kind in the upbringing or education of the child.
You can go to Anganwadi or the nearest health center and give information about the birth of the girl child. In this you have to apply by submitting some of your documents.
