IND vs AUS: The first innings of the Indian team was reduced to 400 runs in the first session of the third day of the first Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy being played in Nagpur between India and Australia. India has strengthened its hold in the match by taking a lead of 223 runs against the first innings score of the Australian team.

When the third day’s play started, at that time the Indian team’s score was 321 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. After this, Australian off-spinner Todd Murphy gave his team the first success of the day in the form of Ravindra Jadeja, who scored 70 runs.

After this, there was a great partnership of 52 runs for the 9th wicket between Akshar Patel and Mohammed Shami. Mohammed Shami played an explosive inning of 37 runs facing only 47 balls. During this, 2 fours and 3 sixes were also seen from his bat. Due to his innings, the Indian team took its lead beyond 200 on the basis of the first innings.

After this, the first innings of the Indian team was reduced to 400 runs, in which Akshar Patel scored a brilliant 84 runs. While Todd Murphy took 7 wickets in this innings for the Kangaroo team, Nathan Lyon took 1 wicket and Captain Pat Cummins took 2 wickets.

Captain Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant century in the second day’s play

Talking about the game of the second day of the Nagpur Test match, it was in the name of Team India because of the brilliant century of Indian captain Rohit Sharma. At one time Team India had lost its 5 wickets till the score of 168. After this, Captain Rohit Sharma along with Ravindra Jadeja not only worked to handle the team’s innings but also took the score beyond 200.

Rohit Sharma played a brilliant inning of 120 runs facing 212 balls. After this, Jadeja, along with Akshar, shared an important partnership of 88 runs for the 8th wicket, taking the lead to 150 on the basis of the team’s first innings.
