Due to lack of rain on Sunday, the third day of the Test match being played between India and Bangladesh, the covers were removed from the field at 8.30 am. The match referee will again take stock of the entire field at 2 o’clock, only after which a decision will be taken whether the match will be held or not.

In the Test match being held between India and Bangladesh, after the morning inspection on Sunday, match referee Jeff Crowe along with the on-field umpires and pitch curator did the inspection again at 12 noon. During this, the match referee gave maximum time to the three yard portion. He carefully inspected half the field for about 5 minutes. During this, he looked at the patch marks made at various places and went back to the dressing room. After this he announced that he would inspect once more at 2 o’clock. After this it will be decided whether play on the third day is possible or not. However, even after this, spectators continued to come to the stadium. Their enthusiasm, anticipation of watching the match and their cheers of Jai Shri Ram created a wonderful atmosphere in the entire stadium.
