In the meeting, most of the state units demanded to contest elections on maximum seats, but Punjab and Kerala were two such states, where the leaders confused the high command by advising them not to form alliance in their state. At present there was talk of alliance with Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab and Left in Kerala.

In the Congress meeting, Punjab leaders have asked the high command not to form an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party. In such a situation, it is believed that Congress can contest elections on all 13 seats in Punjab. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, out of 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab, Congress had won 8, while BJP had won 2 seats, Akali Dal 2 and AAP had won 1 seat.
Congress had lost in the assembly elections
At the same time, the situation changed completely in the 2022 assembly elections. Aam Aadmi Party came to power with a huge majority after ousting Congress from power. Aam Aadmi Party is excited by this victory. Lok Sabha Elections I am not ready to give seat to Congress. Let us tell you that according to the survey conducted by ABP News-C Voter recently, Congress is seen getting 5 to 7 seats in Punjab, while AAP is seen getting 4 to 6 seats.
