India-China Clash: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate 2 bridges near China border, BRO has prepared

Utrakhand: The Border Roads Organization (BRO) has constructed two more bridges on the Tanakpur-Tawaghat road close to the India-China border, to enhance transportation facilities to the last border outposts. A BRO official said Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was to inaugurate the projects on December 27, but had to postpone it due to prior engagements. Jainendra Kumar, Director (Works) of Project Hirak, which built the bridges, said that the newly constructed bridges will now be inaugurated digitally by the Defense Minister on January 3.

Jainendra Kumar said that a new bridge was built in place of the old bridge that was washed away in the 2013 disaster. He said that an 80-meter steel bridge has been constructed over the Dhauli river on the Tawaghat-Ghatiabagar road. Jainendra Kumar said, ‘It has been named the Dhauli Ganga bridge. This will help in streamlining the transport at the security posts on the India-China border. He said that this would be of great convenience to the villagers of all the seven villages of Beas Valley as well as to the pilgrims and climbers of Adi Kailash.

BRO official said, “This will make transportation from Jauljibi to Tawaghat very easy.” Kumar said, "It will be very convenient for the villagers of all the seven villages of Vyas Valley as well as for the pilgrims and trekkers of Adi Kailash." This road is important for China-Nepal border

The construction of two motor bridges from Pithoragarh to Tawaghat has been completed under Project Hirak of BRO. The construction of two bridges on this route connecting the China border has given strategic strength here. After the construction of Il bridge from Tawaghat, it will be easy to reach China border with Nepal.

An 80-meter steel bridge has been built over the Dhauliganga river at Tawaghat-Ghatiabagda, an important link connecting the high Himalayas. This bridge is very important for the road leading to the border of Nepal and China. This bridge connects the Beas valley of Dharchula.

Months back in Tawaghat the bailey bridge was damaged while carrying the machine. Under the alternative situation, the construction of the 80 meter bridge had also started at the same time as the Bailey Bridge. Now this bridge is ready.

Reaching Kailash Mansarovar made easy

BRO is engaged in the construction of a road. Road is being built from Dharchula in Pithorgarh to Lipulekh on the border of China. BRO has prepared this road at a height of about 17 thousand feet. In the year 2024, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra can be completed in just one week.

The reason for this is that this road will be ready from Pithoragarh to Lipulekh in Uttarakhand. This road passes through the Tri Junction of India-China and Nepal. Let us inform that in 2020, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated a part of this road through video conferencing. While congratulating the BRO on the inauguration of this 200 kilometer long road, Defense Minister Rajnath had described it as ‘historic’. Because now it takes 2-3 weeks to travel from Nathu La in Sikkim and Kailash Mansarovar from Nepal.
