A school in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala has made an unprecedented debut in the field of education with the introduction of India’s first Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) teacher robot ‘Iris’. This AI teacher Iris has been created with the help of Makerlabs Edutech. The purpose of making this AI teaser is to change the traditional method of teaching in school and make it personalized for the students. With this, students will be able to experience new type of personalized learning instead of old type of traditional education.
This AI teaser is equipped with Iris voice assistant feature and its interactive learning activities motivate the students to study and learn from this teacher. Iris answers the questions her students have, explains topics in detail, and provides educational content through personalized interactions. This AI teacher named Iris can also freely move around the classroom, shake hands with students and do hands-on learning activities.
The method of teaching will change
The creator of this AI teacher claims that IRIS will show students new ways of reading and learning and will also motivate them in new ways to study. Developers say that this is the beginning of a future which will completely help the old and traditional method of education.
With the help of generative AI embedded in it, it works like a deep-learning model, which can generate high quality images, text and other educational content.
