The Indian Navy has deployed a total of six warships for anti-piracy and anti-drone operations. He said that more warships will be sent to the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden to deal with the challenge of piracy.

A proposal in this regard has been submitted to the government. This proposal will be approved soon.” The same is expected to be approved.” The Admiral said that he wants to keep the Indian Ocean safe. Instructions have been given to naval officers in this regard.
Navy is equipped with many weapons
Admiral Hari Kumar said that the Navy is already equipped with weapons like GPS jammers, surface-to-air missile systems and anti-drone including laser devices. He told that many warships present with the Navy are already equipped with these facilities, while these facilities are being included in some warships.
Countrymen can be brought back from anywhere
On the Navy’s action against MV Leela Norfolk in the Arabian Sea, he said, “We can bring back our countrymen from any place. This ship did not have an Indian flag, but the crew were Indians and it is our national policy to help them.” Whenever Indian citizens are in trouble, we reach out to help. We did the same in Sudan and Ukraine.”
15 Indian citizens rescued
Let us tell you that the Navy had safely evacuated all 21 crew members including 15 Indian citizens from the MV Leela Norfolk which was hijacked off the Somalia coast in the Arabian Sea. 5 to 6 armed men tried to hijack this ship.
‘No place for pirates’
Admiral R Hari Kumar said, “It seems that when the pirates saw our aircraft and drones above the aircraft, they fled from there.” During this, while giving credit to the Center for bringing the Anti Piracy Act, he said that the government has passed the Anti Piracy Act, which has made it clear that there is no place for pirates in our region.
