Regarding Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the grand alliance government of Bihar, former Chief Minister of the state and experienced leader Jitan Ram Manjhi had given the deadline of January 14. It was said that there would be some big upheaval. Suddenly on January 13, the fifth meeting of the anti-BJP alliance INDIA took place. The meeting was virtual, so the atmosphere was not created beforehand. During the meeting, the news agency, quoting sources, informed that in the Indie Alliance meeting, opposition alliance leader Nitish Kumar was offered the post of convenor, but he rejected it. After the meeting, when JDU quota minister Sanjay Jha came out, he admitted that he had received an offer to become the convenor, but instead of turning it down, he said that it should be considered at the party level. He told a big thing that seat sharing was not even discussed in this meeting, whereas Nitish Kumar was saying only one wish. He has repeatedly expressed his desire to do seat sharing soon and has also informed that he does not desire any post. It is a different matter that his party wants to declare him as the PM candidate.

Nitish had told his wish from the first meeting

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is also the architect of opposition unity against the BJP government at the Center led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi – this cannot be denied, because it was due to his efforts that the first meeting of opposition parties could be held in Patna on June 23. The name of Indie Alliance was not decided in the first meeting, but it was believed that the architect Nitish Kumar would be given the responsibility of its coordinator. At that time it was also believed that after becoming the coordinator, the next step would be to be the candidate for the post of Prime Minister. But, nothing like this happened in all four meetings. From the second meeting, Nitish expressed his only wish – seat sharing. When the fourth meeting was not being held, Nitish had also agitated the Congress on this matter. Even when the fourth meeting was held in Delhi, Nitish talked about the decision of seat sharing. Did not ask for any post for himself. Now, even when the fifth meeting was held virtually on January 13, it was believed that seat sharing would be discussed, but state minister Sanjay Jha told after the meeting that this topic was not discussed at all. He admitted that there was talk about the post of coordinator, but the party will consider it.

Is there anything left in the post of coordinator now, when…

In the fourth meeting of Indi Alliance, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee proposed Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge as the Prime Ministerial candidate and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal agreed. During this time, National President of Rashtriya Janata Dal Lalu Prasad Yadav was present and also remained silent. Now when the virtual meeting was held in the absence of Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee, it was announced that Kharge would be given the post of President of Indi Alliance. JDU also agreed to this. But, is this our happiness? If Kharge’s name is being finalized as the President of Indi Alliance and he is also the face of the opposition’s PM, then why should Nitish accept the post of ‘Convenor’? He is talking about not taking any post. As far as thoughts in the party are concerned, one thing is clear within JDU that according to party leaders, there is no better and clearer face than Nitish Kumar for the post of Prime Minister. Almost every leader of JDU has repeated this many times. Under the pretext of showing clean faces, faces involved in corruption were also targeted. BJP is also talking about being soft towards Nitish on these matters and cornering the rest in the name of corruption. The special thing is that right now no one even from JDU is coming forward to call these things as ‘und-bund’.
