Chief Election Commissioner of India Rajiv Kumar said that the total number of voters in the Delhi Assembly elections has reached 99 crore voters in the country. And soon this number of voters will touch the magical figure of 100 crores. The figure here is big in itself because there are only two countries in the world whose population is above 100 crores. A China whose population is around 142 crores. Then secondly India itself which is a country with a population of 150 crores. Then the figure of 100 crore voters starts looking bigger. Only so many voters in other democratic countries of the world
Apart from India, we can talk about other big democratic countries of the world. So this includes countries like United States of America, Indonesia, Brazil and Nigeria. If we talk about the second largest democratic country, it is Indonesia. According to the data of the year 2024, the total population of Indonesia is 27 crores. So the number of voters in Indonesia is 20 crores.
Apart from this, the United States of America comes at third place, where according to the data of the year 2024, the population is around 34 crores. So if we talk about the number of registered voters, it is around 16 crores.
Brazil comes at third place in this list where it has a population of 21 crores and 15 crore registered voters. So Nigeria comes in fourth place where the population is 22 crores and the registered voters are around 9.3 crores. That is, if we take together the 100 crore voters of India, then the number of voters of these four countries still remains less.
