India-China Border Issue: Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pandey said on Monday (January 29) that the situation on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China is under control, but we are ready.
Speaking to news agency ANI, General Manoj Pandey said, “The situation on the Line of Actual Control remains sensitive.” In the last one year, there has been no conflict in any new area. Talks are going on between the two countries (India and China) at the military level as well as at the diplomatic level. Our deployment remains strong and balanced. Our focus is also on development, we are working closely with the local people and local administration. This is so that our preparations regarding security remain strong.
He further said that violence has reduced in 2023. A total of 71 terrorists have been killed in Jammu and Kashmir. Prepared for every situation. The army is continuously working with the police and local people. Our operations will continue. No terrorist will be spared. Be it soldiers or weapons, we are increasing everything. All Terrain Vehicle, Special Mobility Vehicle and Drone are also going to be given to the Army in Ladakh.

In fact, in May 2020, China had deployed troops in eastern Ladakh. Due to this, there was a violent clash between the soldiers of India and China in June 2020. Since then, several rounds of talks have taken place between the two countries.
