First of all, let’s talk about Bharat rice. Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Piyush Goyal had launched Bharat rice. The minister had flagged off 100 mobile vans through which rice was made available to the people in Delhi. This rice at a low price will now be available at the stores and mobile outlets of Kendriya Bhandar, National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED) and National Cooperative Consumer Federation of India (NCCF). ‘Bharat’ brand rice is being sold in 5 kg and 10 kg bags for families at a maximum retail price of Rs 29 per kg.
Now Bharat flour is available
Now let’s talk about what other things like Bharat rice are being sold by the Government of India at cheap prices. To provide flour to the people at cheap prices, the government also launched Bharat Atta. The price of this flour is Rs 27.50 per kg, whereas in the market, the same flour is available at Rs 35 to Rs 40 per kg. Apart from flour, the government also launched gram dal at cheap prices, it was also launched with the Bharat brand. Bharat Dal is being sold at a price of Rs 60 per kg. Apart from this, onion is also being sold at a price of Rs 25 per kg at all the central warehouses and other retail shops.
Why is it getting so cheap
Many brands of flour are being sold at Rs 35 to Rs 40 per kg on the online store Blinkit. That is, a 10 kg packet of these brands is available for Rs 408. In such a situation, how is Bharat Atta, which is available to people at the rate of Rs 27 per kg and its quality is also given by Avon, available so cheap.
