Indian Railway implementing New System from this week all 17 zone loco pilots will be given same Authority Form

Indian Railway New Authority Form: To stop the increasing rail accidents, Indian Railways will implement a major change this week. Loco pilots will benefit from this change. Apart from this, it is being claimed that this will also reduce train accidents. It has been told that under this change, loco pilots will now be given the same authority form across the country. This new arrangement is being made after the CRS report on the Kanchenjunga train accident.

According to a senior official of the Railway Ministry, the same authority form will be given to the loco pilots in all the 17 zones of the railway from this week. Under this, it will be mandatory to stop the train for one minute during the day and two minutes at night when there is a red signal. In this situation, the loco pilot will have to keep the speed of his train at 15 km per hour. This authority will be recorded in all the engines, so that the loco pilot does not have any confusion.

Till now there is a system for giving written authority form

Experts are calling this step important to prevent accidents. In fact, in case of signal failure in any section, the loco pilot is given written authority to operate the trains there, the loco pilot drives the train according to the rules laid down in that authority. Till now this authority was different in all the 17 zones.

CRS gave this suggestion after the accident

While submitting the report of Kanchenjunga train accident, CRS had suggested to make the authority form same in all zones. CRS told in the report that Kanchenjunga train accident happened due to not following the authority form properly. Therefore, it is necessary that everyone should be given the same form, so that all the loco pilots follow the rules accordingly. Let us tell you that in the Kanchenjunga rail accident, the signals turned red due to fuse short on the section. After this, the loco pilot and guard were given authority to run the train. The loco pilot of Kanchenjunga followed the authority and stopped the train at the red signal, but the loco pilot of the goods train did not follow the authority properly and started the train, which led to the accident.
