Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush: Many TV shows are in the top five on the TRP charts. Viewers do not miss watching their favorite serials at all. But do you know that TV in India started on a very small level. Even the shows Ramayana and Mahabharata were made on a low budget. But gradually the budget of TV shows increased. Today, the budget of the biggest and most expensive show in India is more than any film ever made.

This is India’s most expensive TV show

In the year 2019, Siddharth Kumar Tiwari came up with a mythological show named ‘Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush’ based on Ramayana. This show was the biggest show on TV at that time. According to reports, more than Rs 4 crore was spent on making each episode of the show. According to Mid-Day, the total cost of this show was Rs 650 crore, which was more than any TV show or film before or after.

At the time of the show’s release in August 2019, the most expensive film was Saaho, which had a budget of Rs 350 crore. Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush almost doubled it. Even RRR (Rs 500 crore) and Brahmastra (Rs 400 crore) couldn’t come close to it. Interestingly, in 2023, a film based on Ramayana – Adipurush – became India’s most expensive film. Though its budget was also Rs 550 crore, it is still less than ‘Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush’.

The cost of one episode will shock you

With this, Prabhas’ upcoming film – Kalki 2898 AD – is set to take over from Adipurush with a budget of Rs 600 crore, while talking about ‘Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush’, this show was based on Uttar Ramayana, which included Luv and Kush, the sons of Lord Rama and Sita. The show featured Himanshu Soni as Lord Rama and Shivya Pathania as Sita, along with Krish Chauhan and Harshit Kabra playing the characters of Luv and Kush. The show aired for 141 episodes from August 2019 until it ended in February 2020.
