Indigo Flight News: A passenger on an Indigo flight from Chennai to Tiruchirappalli had opened the emergency gate. Due to this the flight was delayed by 2 hours. Indigo confirmed the incident but did not reveal the name of the passenger who opened the flight gate. Indigo simply said that a passenger had opened the emergency gate ‘by mistake’. However, when the news came, a person claimed that the passenger who opened the gate of Indigo flight was a BJP MP.

According to media reports, the name of the passenger who opened the emergency gate of the flight is being told as Tejashwi Surya. This incident happened on December 10 last year. The news of The News Minute website has claimed that Tejashwi Surya, Lok Sabha MP from Bangalore South was also aboard the Indigo flight from Chennai to Tiruchirappalli, it was he who opened the emergency gate of the flight. The website quoted an eyewitness as claiming that the emergency gate was opened by BJP MP Tejashwi Surya, but the airline did not say anything to him.

AIMIM chief taunted

Congress, AIMIM and TMC have targeted BJP on this. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi (Asaduddin owaisi) raised the question by sharing a news mentioning the name of BJP MP Tejashwi Surya. Owaisi tweeted, “If you have a “cultured” name then it is bound to happen (name withheld), if it was Abdul, the sky’s the limit….Please fasten your seatbelt at all times.”

DGCA ordered an inquiry

Let us tell you that the news of the incident of opening the emergency gate of Indigo flight came to light on the morning of Tuesday, January 17, when an inquiry was ordered by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). A DGCA official said that we have been given complete information regarding the opening of the emergency gate of the flight. No compromise was made with safety. A passenger accidentally opened the emergency gate.
