Infiltration attempt failed in Uri sector, terrorists killed near Line of Control


Jammu and Kashmir News: On Saturday (October 19, 2024), security forces foiled the nefarious infiltration of terrorists in Uri sector in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. According to initial information, joint forces foiled an infiltration attempt on the Line of Control in Kamalkot in Uri sector and during this time a terrorist was eliminated, while the operation is currently going on.

Security forces are continuously carrying out anti-infiltration operations in the Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir. During this operation, security forces have already killed many terrorists trying to infiltrate from across the border on the Line of Control.

Before this, two terrorists were killed

Before this, in the month of June also an attempt was made to intrude from across the border near the Line of Control in Gohlan of Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists had started firing heavily on the army soldiers, in retaliation to which the army had to open fire on them. The firing between the terrorists and the army continued for a long time, in which two terrorists were killed.

Terrorists infiltrate from these areas

In Jammu and Kashmir, most of the terrorists try to infiltrate from the areas of Reasi, Kathua, Doda and Uri sectors. This is the reason why the deployment of security forces is more in the border areas.

Infiltration attempt made for the first time after the elections

For the first time after the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, an attempt has been made to intrude by terrorists. In the elections, the alliance of National Conference and Congress crossed the majority mark and formed the government in the state. In the elections, National Conference got 42 seats, Bharatiya Janata Party got 29, Congress got 6 and Mehbooba Mufti led PDP got three seats.
