Delhi had to defend 131 runs in this match, for which its bowlers had to perform much better against Gujarat, who have shown a great game so far this season. For Delhi, experienced Ishant Sharma played a very important role in the team’s victory by taking 2 wickets while giving 23 runs in 4 overs.
The Gujarat team had scored 119 runs at the loss of 5 wickets at the end of the 19th over. He needed only 12 runs in the last over. In such a situation, the bowling command from Delhi was handed over to Ishant Sharma, who gave 2 runs on his first ball and after that only 1 run on the second ball.
