Indian Premier League 2023: In the match being played between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Mumbai Indians (MI), a blistering inning was seen with the bat of Marcus Stoinis. Stoinis played an unbeaten inning of 89 runs in 47 balls in this match. The Mumbai team had taken the wicket of Marcus Stoinis in the match, but taking the DRS decision proved to be a lifeline for Stoinis and the umpire had to change his LBW decision.

In the 17th over of Lucknow’s innings, Akash Madhawal completely hit Marcus Stoinis on an excellent yorker ball. This ball went straight to Stoinis’ feet and the umpire gave him LBW out. Stoinis immediately decided to take DRS, but during this he also felt that he was out, so he slowly started moving towards the pavilion.

When the third umpire reviewed this decision, no part of the bat was attached to the ball. After this, when ball tracking was used to see the direction of the ball, the ball was going outside the leg stumps. Due to this the on-field umpire had to decide to change his decision.

Stoinis scored 47 runs in the next 13 balls.

When Marcus Stoinis got life due to DRS, he was batting after scoring 42 runs in 33 balls. After this, Stoinis started the process of scoring runs aggressively and scored 47 runs in the next 13 balls. During this, 5 sixes and 3 fours were seen from the bat of Stoinis. Stoinis also shared an excellent partnership of 60 runs in the last 4 overs with Nicholas Pooran for the 5th wicket.
