Chennai defeated RCB by 8 runs in a thrilling match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Batting first, CSK scored 226 runs for 6 wickets. To achieve the target of 227 runs for victory, the Bangalore team could only manage to score 218 runs for 8 wickets. Mathisha Pathirana played an important role in helping CSK win the match. This mystery bowler of Dhoni, known as Junior Malinka, took 2 wickets while bowling brilliantly in the slog overs. It was the wonder of his bowling that CSK was able to win the match by 8 runs.

On the third ball, Suyash Prabhudesai brought RCB back into the match by hitting a six. No run was scored on the fourth ball. But he managed to take 2 runs on the fifth ball. After this the match came in the hands of CSK. To tie the match on the last ball, 8 runs were to be scored and 9 runs to win. which was impossible. In such a situation, Prabhudesai tried to hit Pathirana’s last ball for a six but did not succeed. His catch was caught by Ravindra Jadeja. Suyash Prabhudesai was dismissed after scoring 19 runs off 11 balls. Pathirana gave only 10 runs in the last over. In this way, this mystery bowler of Dhoni put the match in the hands of CSK.
