Haris Farooqui, the Indian chief of the terrorist organization IS, who was caught by Assam Police, was also collecting donations for the detention center of IS on the Syria and Iraq border. If sources are to be believed, Haris Farooqui had also tested a bomb with IED device to target Haldwani railway station. ATS suspects that before fleeing to Bangladesh, he had hidden a large quantity of explosives in UP or Uttarakhand. Therefore, ATS is preparing to take him on remand.
IG ATS Nilabja Chaudhary said that after NIA, UP ATS will also take him into its custody. After this, he will be taken on remand with the permission of the court and interrogated about the Aligarh module. Let us tell you that during this time, he has to be interrogated on the basis of the statements of other members of this module like Shahnawaz, Wajihuddin etc., so that it can be found out which cities of UP were his target.
On the other hand, NIA investigation has revealed that at the behest of Haris, Shahnawaz had conducted recce of many cities of Gujarat. After this he tested chemical bombs in the forests of Pune. It was Haris who introduced Shahnawaz to Wajihuddin. After leaving Aligarh, he declared Wajihuddin as the Amir of Aligarh module. After this, Wajihuddin was instigating the youth to join Jihadi activities through small meetings. He also started a YouTube channel with Abdullah Arslan, which featured his inflammatory speeches.
